Geology & Resources

The Pribrezhniy deposit is situated within the Balkhash-Junggar system, a world-class copper belt formed by Andean-style volcanic activity. The project’s geology exhibits classic porphyry copper characteristics with several notable advantages:

  • Multiple mineralized zones with distinct characteristics
  • Extensive oxide cap with leachable copper minerals
  • Strong structural controls enhancing mineralization
  • Significant depth potential confirmed by drilling
  • Multiple untested satellite targets within the license area

Mineralization

The deposit features two distinct styles of mineralization:

Oxide Zone:

  • Near-surface mineralization extending across both northern and southern zones
  • Primary copper minerals include malachite, chrysocolla, and copper-bearing vermiculite
  • Potential for early-stage heap leach operation
  • 31.5 Mt of oxide resources at 0.39% Cu

Sulfide Zone:

  • Large-scale porphyry system with consistent mineralization
  • Primary copper occurs as chalcopyrite with molybdenum credits
  • High-grade breccia zones identified in recent drilling
  • 1.349 Bt of sulfide resources at 0.37% CuEq

Mineral Resources (May 2024)

Inferred Resources at a cut-off grade of 0.2% Cu:

  • Oxide: 31.5 Mt at 0.39% Cu, 68 ppm Mo, 1.1 ppm Ag
  • Sulfide: 1.349 Bt at 0.30% Cu (0.30% Cu, 136 ppm Mo, 0.7 ppm Ag)
  • Total contained copper: 4.17 Mt
  • Additional credits: 185 kt Mo, 31 Moz Ag

Exploration Potential

Recent drilling continues to expand the resource potential:

  • High-grade central breccia zone remains open
  • Multiple untested geophysical targets
  • Significant exploration upside within the broader license area
  • Ongoing drilling program focused on resource expansion

District-Scale Opportunity

  • Located within the 40km Kounrad-Pribrezhniy NW-SE trend (“KP Trend”)
  • 766 km² exploration license valid until February 2029
  • Positioned in Kazakhstan’s most prolific porphyry belt alongside major deposits:
    • Aktogay (2.2Bt @ 0.37% Cu)
    • Aidarly (>1.5Bt @ 0.38% Cu)
    • Kounrad (800Mt @ 0.62% Cu)
    • Koksay (736Mt @ 0.42% CuEq)

Recent Exploration Success

  • Significant new discoveries from Q4 2024 reconnaissance drilling program
  • Standout results include:
    • 50m @ 1.16% CuEq at Yuzhnaya Ploschad, including 15m @ 3.03% CuEq
    • 181.9m @ 0.31% CuEq at Prikounradski II
    • Multiple broad zones of copper mineralization across two new target areas
